BINGO NIGHT IS TONIGHT!

Math

We have learned many fraction skills. Your child should be starting to understand how to:

Add and subtract mixed numbers

Change improper fractions to mixed numbers

Multiply a whole number by a fraction

 

Language Arts

We finished our study on the bombing of Pearl Harbor. We learned many new vocabulary words. Please ask your child if they can tell what rationing means. Next, we are studying a journal from Antarctica. We continue to study first and secondhand accounts. We look forward to watching interviews from people who have traveled there.

 

Science

We have discussed energy sources and receivers. Your child has been working with electricity components to light bulbs and run motors. They are having so much fun with this unit. We have learned what a circuit is and what an open and a closed circuit do.
