Language Arts

This week we began studying primary and secondary accounts. We are learning about the bombing of pearl harbor. Students are practicing note taking and comparing and contrasting the differences between primary and secondary sources. Please ask your child to tell you some Pearl Harbor facts and opinions.

 

Math

We are busy learning about fractions. FRACTIONS ARE FUN! So far we have learned how to compare unit fractions, change improper fractions into mixed numbers, and add and subtract fractions with like denominators.

Science

We finished the week studying science vocabulary and detecting hidden magnets. Next week, we move on to studying electricity and will be building circuits.
