Educational Websites For Fun & Skill Building

This is a link to Netflix shows categorized by topic. There are some good educational choices to watch.

This is an awesome site! Online books read to you by famous authors. There are also activity guides to go with many of the books.

This site has movement and mindfulness videos created by child development experts. It is available for free on the computer or as an app.

This is a great free reading site geared for children in early elementary school! Your child can read, play games on the site and watch short movies. It has something for everyone! If you click on the educator portion you can download and print books, worksheets, and other tools.

Book Adventure is a FREE reading motivation program for children in grades K-8. Children create their own book lists from over 7,000 recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books they've read and earned points and prizes for their literary successes.

This site gives you access to games by grade level K-12, has printable flashcards and quiz lab. Quiz lab allows you to create paperless automatically graded quizzes.

You can create puzzles on this site such as fallen phrases, letter tiles, math-square, number block, hidden message, word search, mazes and more. This is a great site to create word searches for spelling review!

On this site, you are able to practice math skills directly linked to the core learning standards. You can choose the focus and grade level and skill. Students' user names and passwords will be provided by the teacher. If not, I believe parents can sign up too.

On this site, you can sign up to do some free typing practice. There are over 700 activities to complete.

Need help with some math concepts? Math Antics has many free video tutorials to help you learn something new or remind you how to solve them. The extra content is reduced to $10 for a year but you are still able to watch the videos without paying.

This is a fun site to explore. There is also an app. Find something "cool" to do!

There is a free trial available right now. On this site, there is an interactive library of digital books and video explorations. This can be used on the web, phone, and tablet. There are hundreds of books, video field trips, storytime and so much more to explore. Typically geared towards 2 to 9 year olds.

This is a really neat site free with so much to look at and explore. Something that I really like is the virtual field trips. Click on elective curriculum and scroll down and you will see the link for the field trips for kids PreK- Grade 12. Check it out!
