Parent Update - April 9, 2021

Dear parent or guardian:

This week we took another step toward “normal” by increasing the amount of daily instructional time for K-8 students. We also enhanced our protocols for families impacted by COVID by offering students who need to quarantine or isolate an opportunity to connect with a dedicated online teacher. In addition, Willow Creek Church stepped up to help families in need by offering a free support program for remote learning students (check your school newsletters for details). While COVID remains a concern in communities everywhere, I’m proud of District 47 and the Crystal Lake community for continuing to think “outside the box” in finding ways to meet the needs of our students and families during these unprecedented times and am encouraged by the continued rollout of the vaccine in McHenry county. See details about the vaccine rollout below.
