Technology and Parenting: Why Our Kids Are Growing Up Differently

 

On February 4th, Prairie Ridge High School counselor Missy Berg discussed how technology and parenting strategies are affecting our kids' generation, known as Generation Z or iGen. Parents learned how to help their children develop healthy peer and adult relationships, improve communication, cope and manage emotions, and increase self-efficacy/confidence. About the presenter:

Missy Berg, LCPC, has been a counselor at Prairie Ridge High School for the past 13 years and was a counselor at Mundelein High School before coming to District 155. Prior to being a high school counselor, Mrs. Berg worked in community mental health at a behavioral health hospital and in private practice. She has an undergraduate degree in psychology from Hope College and a master's degree in counseling from Indiana University.
