The exam will continue to align to the new Illinois Learning Standards and maintain its focus on critical thinking, concept mastery, and writing skills. The PARCC assessment aims to provide reliable and valid information about student achievement that students, families, teachers, and schools can use to improve teaching and learning for individual students and students as a group.
Like last year, District 47 students will be taking the PARCC test electronically via computer and will be exposed to sample items and practice tests prior to the testing window in their classrooms. For PARCC practice at home, parents can access resources here.
