Cell Phone Policy  


    Reminder: District 47’s current cell phone guidelines (outlined in the 2019-20 student handbook) will be strictly enforced upon return from winter break in January. Middle school students may carry a cell phone/smartwatch but it must be turned off at all times. If the student uses the phone/smartwatch or if the device causes a disruption, the phone/smartwatch will be confiscated and taken to the office and appropriate consequences will be issued as determined by administration.


    NOTE: The school/district is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen personal property. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us to provide a distraction-free teaching and learning environment for our students and staff!


    First Offense: Student will be reminded of cell phone policy and can pick up phone at the end of the school day.  


    Second Offense: Parent will be notified and will have to pick up phone from school office.


    Third Offense: Phone taken to office.  Parent must pick up.  Cell phone must be dropped off in the school office at the beginning of the school day and picked up at the end of the day for remainder of the school year.
