Posted by Kelly Sarther on 3/9/2020Happy Day Light Savings Monday :) Today in class we had about 30 minutes to complete our Google Slideshow presentations on which city-state we think is superior- Athens or Sparta. A few of us even started presenting today. If you are not done with your slide please finish it at home for homework.
We start IAR testing on Wednesday, please make sure to have headphones or earbuds for testing.

Posted by Kelly Sarther on 3/6/2020Happy Friday Everyone!!!! You have no homework this weekend, UNLESS you have not completed your CER essay. On Monday we will have 30 minutes to complete our Argumentative Slideshow. We will present the last 10 minutes Monday, and then in class on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Posted by Kelly Sarther on 2/3/2020Welcome to February and the return of the sun!!!!! Monday and Tuesday in class we are completing our Ancient Egypt Tic-Tac-Toe Choice Boards. Any activities that are not complete by the end of class Tuesday will need to be finished to turn in on Wednesday. Once you are finished please explore the Egypt Resource document in Google Classroom, there are a variety of resources to explore.

Posted by Kelly Sarther on 1/29/2020Today students turned in their blue Daily Life in Ancient Egypt Notes- if they didn't yesterday. After that students began working on the Ancient Egyptian Tic-Tac-Toe projects. Students have the choice between 9 different projects to complete- and they must choose three projects in a row. We will continue working on Thursday, Friday, and Monday in class.
HW- if you blue notes packet is still not complete come with it done for class tomorrow
Extra- Football Jersey Friday!!!!!

Posted by Kelly Sarther on 1/27/2020Today in SS we started our Daily Life of Ancient Egyptians presentations. We complete the presentations on Government Officials, Priests, and Scribes. Tomorrow we will finish all the presentations with the Artisans and Peasants. Remember to bring any props/ costumes that you need :)

Posted by Kelly Sarther on 1/24/2020Happy Friday!!!! Today we worked on our Egypt Social Class presentations- scripts and props. Monday we will have about 15 minutes to practice our presentations before we begin. If you have any props/costume items at home please bring them in :)

Posted by Kelly Sarther on 1/23/2020Today we really started working on our Interactive Dramatizations for the chapter Daily Life in Ancient Egypt. Each group is "jigsawing" the chapter and is preparing to become experts on the social class they were assigned. Also, we began writing our scripts that will guide our presentations on Monday.

Today we made the last two stops along the Nile River, and completed our chapter on The Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs (Sections 4 and 5.) Next week we will learn about the Daily Life of the Ancient Egyptians.
