This is my 14th year in the District. My career began back in 2001 as a speech paraprofessional in the district. From there, I transitioned to a full time teacher in the Communication Development program in the district. I am crrently full time and work with 2nd, and 3rd grade. I have a Bachelors degree from Illinois State University in Speech Pathology and Audiology. My Masters Degree in Special Education with and LBS1 certification.
In addition to being a teacher, I am a mom of 3! I have a beautiful daughter that is 8 years old and two sweet, energetic 5 year old twin boys. My daughter is in 3td grade and my boys started Kindergarten. My family and I enjoy going to the park, reading, exploring different museums, crafts etc. Personally, I enjoy competing in mud runs, especially Muck Fest Chicago to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis.
I am very excited about this school year! My goal as an educator every year is to create an environment where my students can reach for their goals and feel confident in themselves. I am fortunate to work with an amazing staff, students and families. Here is to ananother amazing school year.
