Parent/Teacher Conferences: Wednesday, November 20th (5:00-8:00pm), Monday, November 25th (12:00-8:00pm), and Tuesday, November 26th (8:00-11:00am).
Winter weather is here! Please make sure that your child is properly dressed in a coat and any other winter accessories as needed. A sweatshirt is not enough to be able to go outside for recess.
For morning arrival, if your child is a car rider, please ensure they are dropped off between 8:30-8:50 am. Students dropped off between 8:50-9:00am, need to proceed through the front door and go directly to their classroom if there is no supervisor outside. Any child being dropped off at 9:00 am or later, since classroom instruction has already begun, will need to be brought in the building by a parent to sign the child in at the front office. Thank you for your assistance in making sure our students are here on time, ready to start their day!
Progress Reports will be available Wednesday Nov. 20th via ParentVue. Parents must have their Synergy ParentVue login and password to view their child's progress report. Should a parent need assistance with their log-in/password, they can contact the school office or firstname.lastname@example.org.
South is collecting food donations in cooperation with the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce Food Drive for Community Harvest. This will run until Nov. 20th. The items can be placed in the large box in the main entryway of the building. Thank you for your donations.
5Essentials Survey: This fall, students, staff, and parents across Illinois will have an opportunity to participate in the eighth annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials survey. As a parent, this opportunity will allow you to share your thoughts on the important elements of school effectiveness in a survey about our school. The parent survey (available in English and Spanish) is now open and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. One survey may be completed and submitted for each child by either parent. We hope you will take this opportunity to provide us with your feedback. To access the survey, please visit http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/.
“Superhero Day” will take place on Friday, September 27th. Donate $1 to the “It’s All For Kids” Foundation here in McHenry County and you can dress like a superhero for the day. Be a superhero and help out kids fighting cancer!
The class with the most participation will receive 30 Sabre bucks!
