Assistive Technology
Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 is committed to equipping students with the tools necessary to access their education and enhance their independence. The utilization of resources like Universal Design for Learning tools (UDLs) to facilitate students' access to education is referred to as Assistive Technology (AT). Each year, Assistive Technology is considered for all students with a 504 or IEP, but it is also available to any student who may benefit from its use. During the AT evaluation process, a range of low- and high-tech tools are assessed. For further information on these tools and the evaluation process, please refer to the FAQs and the Assistive Technology Tools & Resources sections. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding AT, please don't hesitate to contact your child's case manager.
