Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC)
School districts with Transitional Bilingual Education (TBE) programs are required to establish a Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC). The committee participates in the planning, operation, and evaluation of the TBE program. The committee is comprised of parents of children in the TBE program and other interested community members. Two-thirds of the committee members must be parents of students in the bilingual education program. All parents of students in the bilingual education program are invited to become members of the committee. To learn more about BPAC, see the presentation below.

What is BPAC?
BPAC committee members participate in the planning, operation, and evaluation of D47's bilingual program. Plan family engagement activities throughout the year.
Who are the BPAC Members?
Members are made up of bilingual parents/legal guardians with students currently enrolled in the District 47 EL or Dual Language Program, as well as teachers and other school staff/community leaders.
