District 47 Director of Operations Dave Schuh Named 2025 Midwest Facility Director of the Year
Crystal Lake Elementary District 47’s Director of Operations, Dave Schuh, has been named the 2025 Midwest Facility Director of the Year by the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials (WASBO). Schuh has served District 47 as Director of Operations for more than 20 years. He received the prestigious award on Monday, October 27, during the Midwest Facility Masters Conference.
The Midwest Facility Director of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding contributions of those who lead their district and community to success. Schuh is being recognized as the recipient of the 2025 Midwest Facility Director of the Year Award in honor of his outstanding leadership and operational excellence.

Hinz, superintendent. “He’s the person you can count on at any hour, whether it’s a snowstorm, a power outage, or just making sure a classroom feels ready for kids the next morning. His commitment to putting students and staff first is at the center of everything he does, and this recognition is so well-deserved.”
“As a facility director, my goal has always been to ensure safe, efficient, and future-ready environments for our students and staff,” said Schuh. “Receiving this honor is humbling, and I share it with the amazing team around me who make these goals a reality every day.”
The award is presented during the annual Midwest Facility Masters Conference, coordinated by the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials (WASBO) in collaboration with other Midwest ASBO and facility management organizations.
Schuh’s leadership extends far beyond facility management. His commitment to creating safe, efficient, and welcoming spaces for students and staff has shaped the culture and daily operations of District 47. His example continues to inspire excellence among facility leaders throughout the region.
