Brave the Shave Raises $20,349 in Support of Childhood Cancer Research

Bernotas School recently hosted its annual Brave the Shave event, bringing together students, staff, and the broader community to support childhood cancer research.

The event was nothing short of inspiring. In a moving show of solidarity, a group of students and staff from Hannah Beardsley Middle School joined Bernotas participants in shaving their heads, standing united in support of children and families impacted by cancer. The energy in the room was filled with encouragement, pride, and a shared sense of purpose.

This year’s event proved to be the most impactful yet. From the number of participants to the support of volunteer barbers and the generosity of donors. Together, the Bernotas and Hannah Beardsley communities raised an incredible $20,349 to benefit childhood cancer research.

More than just a fundraiser, Brave the Shave continues to be a meaningful tradition that teaches empathy, courage, and the power of coming together for something bigger than ourselves.
