Boundary Updates

District 47 has initiated a comprehensive review of our school district boundaries, beginning with our three middle schools. This review will involve analyzing current enrollment data, population trends (including several new developments in the area), geographic considerations, and other relevant factors to determine if adjustments to our boundaries are necessary.

The district will be using a boundary committee comprised of board members, administration, staff, parents/guardians, and community members to review and recommend boundary changes in two phases, with phase 1 focusing on middle schools. Pending board approval, phase 1 boundary adjustments are anticipated to be implemented for the 2025-2026 school year. Phase 2 will follow, focusing on elementary school boundaries.

This page will be routinely updated with information as the process progresses.

Boundary Scenarios

Please note: There may be slight variations compared to the district's official map. You should have received an email on October 22 with information specific to your address. If you have any questions about your specific location, please contact the district for clarification. These maps illustrate two possible scenarios of boundary changes. It provides a detailed view of the adjustments, allowing users to zoom in and see street names clearly. The Board of Education will discuss the two scenarios at the November 18 board meeting, and the topic will return for a final vote at the December 16 board meeting.
