About District 47
Welcome to Crystal Lake Elementary School District 47, where our mission is simple and powerful: Grow. Empower. Thrive. We are committed to helping every student grow academically and personally, empowering them with the skills, confidence, and support they need to succeed, and creating learning environments where all students can thrive—today and into the future.
District 47 is the largest elementary school district and the second-largest employer in McHenry County, serving approximately 6,800 students with the support of 1,400 dedicated staff members.
