Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Keller is a physical education teacher and department coordinator at Bernotas Middle School in Crystal Lake, Illinois. In 1998, she graduated from Hope College with a BA in Kinesiology and then completed her BA in Education from Judson University. Mrs. Keller also holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum Development from Judson University and is currently getting her second Master's in Physical Education and Coaching Pedagogy from Southern Illinois University. She has been teaching for over 17 years.
Mrs. Keller is married to Matt Keller who is also a P.E. teacher at Bernotas Middle School. They have three children: Quinlan (10), Grayson (7), and Addelyn (6). They reside in Woodstock, Illinois. In her free time, Mrs. Keller enjoys going to her sons football games and wrestling tournaments, traveling, and decorating.
Mrs. Keller firmly believes all students are special and posses a wide variety of talents and skills. Her mission is to expose students to a wide variety of activities and to encourage them to discover and enhance these skills. As a professional educator, she presents these activities in a positive and professional manner, as to maximize the self-esteem and the self-confidence of her students. As a result of physical education, students will learn that physical fitness is crucial for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, not only now, but for the rest of their lives.
