Mrs. Augustine

Welcome to 3rd Grade and Mrs. Augusitne's 3rd Grade class.  I am so looking forward to spending this amazing year of growth with  your kiddo!  I have been teaching since 1992 and have taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades.  I live here in Crystal Lake with my husband and twins.  I love my home in Crystal Lake and feel such pride taking part in helping the young memebers of our community grow!

In addition to a strong focus on curriculum, we will spend time developing positive character traits while  fostering a warm, risk free environement for our learners to thrive in.  A key part of success is open communication.  Please feel free to e-mail or call anytime. I check my e-mails before and after school each day.  If you need to get a message to your student during the day, please contact the office (815) 459-2124.  I have an open door policy and welcome parent presence in the classroom.

Homework

The Assignment Notebook is my primary way of communicating HW with parents and students. At the end of each school day our class will fill out the assignments for the day while I model in my assignment notebook.  I will monitor the students for completion.  Please sign your child’s Assignment Notebook each and every day.   This task helps to build and keep communication while fostering independence.

Thank you for your support.
