Mrs. Rutishauser

Welcome to 8th grade math and science!  I’m Mrs. Rutishauser and I’m looking forward to a great year.  I wanted to tell you a little about myself.

  Teaching Experience

This is my 11th year at Hannah Beardsley Middle School as an 8th grade math teacher.  I taught 8th grade math and science last year as well.  Before HBMS, I spent three years teaching math in Lake County.  I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math, as well as 6th grade social studies and 6th and 7th grade Language Arts.  My passion is teaching, and I thoroughly enjoy it every day.

I graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, IL in 2006 and started my masters in Teaching and Leadership soon after.  I graduated from St. Xavier University in December 2009.  Since then, I’ve continued my education through our district taking classes throughout the year.  I guess I’m still a child at heart and love being in school!

Fun Facts and More…

Besides teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I love being out on the water in the summer, and snow skiing in the winter.  I grew up in Antioch with an older brother, Ryan, younger brother, Michael, and my parents.  I’ve owned my house in McHenry since 2008 and have spent a lot of time making home improvements.

I married my husband, Jon, July 3, 2015 and we currently live in McHenry with my two cats, Milano and Bella.  Jon and I also adopted a dog, Lacey!  Jon owns a pool company, loves to go golfing and play basketball!

August 9, 2016 our daughter, Nora, was born.  She has quite the personality and is such a fun three-year-old!  Nora's little brother, Owen, was born October 20, 2017.  He loves his big sister and is quite active!

Nora and Owen are going to have a baby brother this spring!  We are due March 20, 2020.
