FitnessGram is a tool used to assess student's fitness. Students in 4th and 5th grade will participate in FitnessGram during P.E. class. Students will be assessed in four areas which include aerobic capacity, muscular strength, endurance, and felxibility. The tests in these areas are the Pacer, curl-ups, push-ups, and sit & reach. The student's scores are entered into the FitnessGram program and it assesses the student's fitness results. This will provide a snapshot of the student's fitness level. The results will be printed and shared with the students and their parents in the spring.
FitnessGram is a tool to help increase awareness of student's fitness. These tests DO NOT effect a student's grade in physical education class. If you would like more information in FitnessGram, visit their website at www.fitnessgram.net.
