I'm sure everyone misses coming into the art room. A big thank you to the wonderful students that are creating art at home & posting into your electronic portfolios in Artsonia!  This is a wonderful & positive example as to how technology can help us move forward. Also a huge thank you to the parents for their patience and helping to maintain a sense of calm during these unusual times.

I'm still collecting the cardboard circles from frozen pizzas (please make sure they are reasonably clean.) Also, any nails, nuts & bolts and objects that could be used for art projects would be appreciated as well.Thank you for all your donations!

I'm starting a cap collection in order to create a possible outdoor mural.

Please bring CLEAN caps to the art room throughout the rest of the school year. These are caps from water bottles, milk jugs, juice containers and more. The colorful ones will be needed most!

Don't forget, I'm still collecting those cardboard (reasonably clean) circles from frozen pizzas!

Art students in 4th & 5th grade are getting ready to make some fantastic art work for our Coventry building. They will be learning printmaking techniques using linoleum tiles and carving tools.

Third graders will begin working on their aerial snowmen and are learning about perspective along with preparing to create a 3-D Angel Sculpture.

Second graders will be glazing their clay leaves in preparation to bring home for Christmas, while First graders are going to be making their traditional reindeers!

The First graders paper bag “tree” sculptures make a great background for the 4th graders polyhedron pumpkins! The display really looks like a pumpkin patch! Did you know that pumpkins are fruits and not vegetables? Check these out in the LMC next time you visit!

Those Second graders are so proud of their apple baskets. They learned so many apple facts and would love you to ask them anything at all about information concerning apples! What is the largest apple producing state in our wonderful country? The second graders know this!
