Proof of Residency

  • Students attending school in District 47 must live within district boundaries. Upon registration, parents/guardians must show proof of residency by providing one of the following documents in their name(s): 

      • Property tax bill in parent/guardian name (look up your tax bill here)

      • Copy of closing documents* with property address and signatures of both buyer (parent/guardian) and seller 

      • Purchase contract* with property address and signatures of both buyer (parent/guardian) and seller 

        • *Closings within 30 days: parent/guardian must provide a copy of closing documents or purchase contract within 5 days after closing. 
      • Current rental agreement (lease) with property address, signatures of both landlord and tenant (parent/guardian), and expiration date of the lease term*

      • Notarized affidavit

     

    Please Note:  Parent/Guardians are required to update their residency documents per the guidelines below:

    • A new/updated lease is required upon the expiration date.

      •  Leases that are month-by-month or year-by-year:  District 47 will add 1 year only to the expiration date.

    • A NEW affidavit for each NEW school year

    • When the family moves to a new residence.
