• Welcome! Here you will find helpful information about our TV show Beardsley Live! If you have any questions, please e-mail Mrs. Barton or me.

We need 18 news anchors. News Anchors are students who read the daily news LIVE on the TV show. We will have three teams of anchors, one for each trimester.  We will hold auditions for the anchor positions. Before signing up for an audition time, read through the expectations for anchors:

    • Anchors MUST be able to get to school by 7:35 AM and come directly to Room 209. If you tend to run late, this is not the gig for you.
    • Anchors should speak clearly and have an appropriate volume.
    • Anchors should be flexible, handling last minute changes with no problem.
    • Anchors should be good at making eye contact with the camera.

Auditions for anchors will be held on Monday, August 26 and Tuesday, August 27 after school from 2:25 - 3:00. Sign up for an audition time using the link below...and please, don't be late for your time!

    Camera Operators

We need three camera operators, one for each trimester. Camera operators must feel comfortable learning new technology. Camera operators must be able to get to the school by 7:35 and come directly to Room 209. Camera operators may also be asked to help film news reports after school.

    News Reporters

Reporters create stories to be filmed. Reporters write their own scripts and arrange for a camera operator to work with them. Reporters need to clear their stories with Mrs. Barton or Miss Kleckauskas, but are free to come up with their own, great ideas. We would like our reporters to do at least one story a trimester, but it isn't a requirement.
