The business office manages the day-to-day financial operations of the district and includes the areas of food services and transportation. The District 47 Board of Education maintains fiscal objectives to protect its fund balances with a focus on the overall financial health of the district; as such, it has adopted policy to address these areas. The Assistant Superintendent of Business manages district finances with a focus on the educational goals set forth by the Board. District financial oversight includes financial planning, cash management, budgeting, purchasing, fiscal accounting and financial reporting.
