 Now is a great time to take a second and be sure that all of your current information is the information you provided for the Honeywell Instant Alert system.
Simply locate the Honeywell 'icon' on the D47 home page (column on the right side). Simply click the box and follow the prompts to either set up or edit your information.
For the families that may be new to West School, the Instant Alert system is a way for District 47 to convey information to every D47 family via phone and/or email. For example, this system is used if there is inclement weather and schools are closed during the winter time.

 The Scholastic Book Fair will be at West School from Friday, September 3rd until Friday, September 10th. Parents are encouraged to shop during Parent Night on Tuesday, September 7th from 6 - 9 pm and also on Family Night on Thursday, September 9th from 6 - 8 pm. Interesting in volunteering?  West Elementary's Family Library Night will be Thursday, Sept. 16th from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. We know that you will have an exceptional school year with the help and support of your parents, teachers, and administrators. We look forward to a wonderful year of learning together.

 Kick-off for our 3rd Annual Walk for West fundraiser will take place on Friday, September 24th. The walk will take place on Friday, October 15th. Look for more information to be coming home with your child in the near future. Any questions regarding the Walk for West may be directed to Kristen Christensen at 815-893-0457.
